  • Nausea
  • Confusion
  • Blurred vision
  • Balance issues

Mandatory Removal

If a concussion is suspected, the athlete will be removed from play immediately. When in doubt, sit them out.

Medical Check

Any athlete removed for a suspected concussion must be assessed by a doctor or nurse practitioner before returning.

3. Return-to-Sport Protocol

If a concussion is diagnosed, the athlete must complete a graduated return-to-sport process:

  1. Rest: 24–48 hours of physical and mental rest.
  2. Light Activity: Walking or light stationary cycling.
  3. Sport-Specific Exercise: Running or drills (no contact).
  4. Medical Clearance: A signed medical clearance letter must be provided to the Club Official before full return to training or competition.
