Rowan’s Law & Concussion Safety Annual Requirement for All Participants
Ontario law requires all athletes, parents/guardians (for players under 18), coaches, and team officials to review concussion awareness resources every year before participating.

2. Our Concussion Code of Conduct
Zero Pressure
No athlete will ever be pressured to continue playing through an injury. Honest Reporting Athletes must immediately report any hit, fall, or symptoms such as:
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Confusion
- Blurred vision
- Balance issues
Mandatory Removal
If a concussion is suspected, the athlete will be removed from play immediately. When in doubt, sit them out.
Medical Check
Any athlete removed for a suspected concussion must be assessed by a doctor or nurse practitioner before returning.
3. Return-to-Sport Protocol
If a concussion is diagnosed, the athlete must complete a graduated return-to-sport process:
- Rest: 24–48 hours of physical and mental rest.
- Light Activity: Walking or light stationary cycling.
- Sport-Specific Exercise: Running or drills (no contact).
- Medical Clearance: A signed medical clearance letter must be provided to the Club Official before full return to training or competition.
