We are excited to announce Burlington Curling Club is the recipient of a generous $61,500 capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Fund. This grant will help us move forward in our continuous effort to enhance our club's facilities for the benefit of our members and the broader community.
The grant will be allocated towards the replacement of the roof covering the lounge area and the replacement of the lockers and help us cover 80% of the costs for these projects. The renovation of these key areas will not only improve the comfort and experience of our members but also contribute to maintaining our club's status as a premier curling destination within Ontario.
The lounge area serves as the heart of our club, where members gather, share stories, and celebrate victories on the ice. The new roof will provide improved insulation, and weather resistance, ensuring our recent improvements to the lounge area will be protected from above and continue to be a comfortable and inviting space for all to enjoy.
Additionally, the replacement of our lockers signifies a commitment to modernizing our amenities and providing convenience for our members. The new lockers will help add to the refreshed look given by last year's paint jobs and will ensure that all lockers within the club are in working order.

As we embark on this exciting journey of renovations, we will begin engaging our contractors to get the projects scheduled. The timing for the roof replacement will depend largely on the weather and how long into the fall/early Winter the roofers can keep working. The locker replacement project will likely take place once the 2023-24 curling season has concluded. We encourage all members to stay tuned for updates on the progress and any temporary adjustments in club access during the construction period.
