MDS and WDS Mixed Opener Fun Four Ender

MIXED OPENER “FUN FOUR ENDER”

Tuesday October 21 st : 9:15 am Game 1 – 4 ends then Game 2 - 4 ends.

Lunch – 11:30 am.

12:15 pm Game 3 - 4 ends then Game 4 - 4 ends.

Prizes – 2:30 pm.

Entry Fee - $15.00. Arrive to register by 8:45. Vice to collect fee, register team.
Teams are comprised of two members from each of WDS and MDS. Registration by ranked
position and capped at first 4 players to register in each position (over that are spares).

Players per Section capped at 16.

RULES OF PLAY

 Eight four-person teams using four sheets of ice.
 Two pools of four teams. Sheet 3 is empty.
 Standard rules of curling apply.
 Play four ends. Ten-minute break.
 Scores recorded and set next matches.
 Play second four ends.

 Scores recorded and set matches for third game.

 Break for lunch.

 Game three to play remaining team in your initial pool.

 Fifteen-minute break.

 Game four teams are matched by points ranking (1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 4 vs 4)
 “Score” recorded at 1 per rock capped at 3 per end to avoid early blow-out

eliminations. Ties will not be broken.

 “Points” for final game ranking: win – 2 points. Tie – 1. Loss – 0.
 Teams ranked by accumulated points of three games.
 Prizes to winners of four flight finals.

 Tie Breaker for rankings: 1. Head-to-head. 2. Total rocks for. 3. Least rocks against. 4.
