Social Series Registrations

Please select any of the available social curling days listed below. Monday Spring Thaw, Tuesday Ice Breakers, Wednesday Rock the House and Thursday Show Me the Money. There are no cross-over games.

Please sign up for all the series you wish to play but note that to accommodate all players and enable everyone to play at least twice during the week, you may not get all the series requested. Please rank your choices. We will do our best to ensure you have your first or second choice, and space permitting, you will be able to play as often as you wish.

If the series appears full, and you wish to play that day, please sign up on the waitlist as very often space opens up and we can usually accommodate those on the waitlist.

For those that would like to put their names on the spares list, it will be available after the teams and schedules are finalized later in January.

Vice collects entry, arrive no later than 9:30
Lunch will be served for all at 11:45/12:00
Cost for the event: $15.00

Format

Games will be 6 ends. You have 1 hour 50 minutes.
The 5-rock free guard zone is in effect.
Spin for hammer.
Straight win/loss. Ties will not be broken.
Vices post final end score. Record results with convenor.
Scoring: Win: 10. Loss: 0. Tie: 5. Ends: 2. Blank: 1. Rocks: 1 per/10 max.
Rankings Game 2: 1st/3rd; 2nd/4th; 5th/7th, 6th/8th; 9th/10th.
Ties for team standings: Resolved by using The Tie Breaker.
Prizes: Awarded to top 5 teams by total points over 2 games.
“The Tie-Breaker”: At the end of the first game the vice of each team will deliver one rock to the glass with sweepers. Points earned are used to break ties in seeding for second game and, if needed, final standings. Tie-Breaker Scoring System: Rock stops in contact with the button – 5 points; in contact with 4 foot – 4 points; in contact with 8 foot – 3 points; in contact with 12 foot – 2 points; In play but not touching rings – 1 point; Out of play – 0 points
